It was a chilly, yet beautiful day. A strong wind had picked up as a cold front drearily moved in.
Little Jenny was excited to try her new kite. Once aloft, Chibi-Robo noticed that the kite string was the perfect way to climb to the very top of the roof.
He inched his way up the string, followed closely by Telly.
Suddenly, a very hard gust of wind caught the kite, pulling it higher into the air. Jenny allowed the kite to take more string and Chibi-Robo held on for dear life.
The kite string reached its end. Much to everyone's dismay, the manufacturer had been very cheap and the string was not tied to the holder.
The strong winds ensnared the now free kite and dragged it higher into the heavens. Chibi-Robo and Telly both held on as the kite twirled and flipped. They were passed from wind current to wind current like a game of hot potato.
Finally, the wind became steady. Telly released the string and both robots looked down.
They had been carried up to where the eagles flew; up to where the clouds were a few yards above them. The ground was only a green and brown painting.
"H, H, How are we going to get home, now?!" stammered Telly.
Even with his Chibi-vision, Chibi-Robo could not pick out the small house.
Mr. Sanderson was probably feeling rather lucky that he had bought the insirance on his robot... It would only be a matter of days before Citrusoft delivered a new Chibi-Robo to their doorstep...
Forgive me for being conceited sounding, but I am quite proud of this picture. After doing the other picture, I wanted to feature Chibi-Robo in a scene where he isn't inside the house or backyard because I'm not very good at indoor scenes or fences. I tried a new shading pattern for the clouds as well as a new shading technique for the sky. These new techniques I felt worked very well.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
